The need for recreation facility employees to gain accreditation within our industry has never been more important. Facility owners/operators recognize the benefits of training staff in order to meet the management and technical demands of ensuring efficient, effective and safe operations.
Over the past nine years, the ORFA has offered courses around the province in support of meeting the training needs of its members. During this time, we have had many successful training courses and created valuable training host partners. Building on these successes, while focusing on the best use of Association resources, we are undertaking a more comprehensive scheduling of this year's training sessions. We have chosen regional host sites for their convenient location and past support of our training efforts.
For your convenience, we have categorized the courses related to each of the following:
- Certified Ice Technician (CIT)
- Certified Aquatic Professional (CAP)
- Parks and Open Space Professional Training Program - Level I & II
- Refrigeration Plant Operations Technician (RPOT)
In addition, we include information on the ORFA/CIMCO TSSA Refrigeration Operator - Class B Examination Preparation training course and other buildings and grounds and management courses.
We encourage you to review the regional course offerings and to register early online to avoid disappointment. If you would like to discuss any customized, in-house or regional training needs please contact ORFA's Technical Director, Terry Piche at tpiche@orfa.com, tel: 1-800-661-6732.
